The city of Berlin runs 30 communal galleries which created an impressive programme for Berlin Art Week 2014 representing themselves as important locations for local as well as internationally established artists.
We were asked to develop a visual language for the 30 different institutions — each of which already has its own corporate design. In order not to interfere with any of the existing identities we developed a strong, purely typographic concept. The variable logo-system can be individually adapted to each medium expressing diversity, openness, and flexibility. The bold and specific use of typography guarantees great visibility and high recognition value.
